This exclusive model of the semicircular canals allows otoliths to flow freely! The model provides the opportunity for a
very high understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the canals of the inner ear. Simply a fantastic tool for both the therapist and the patient to be able to explain in a very educational and illustrative way what happens if the patient for example suffers from diagnosis as BPPV.

All canals are labeled with ”P” (posterior), ”L” (lateral) or ”A” (anterior) for more easy anatomical orientation.

All semicircular canals may contain an air bubble. When it is sealed, there may be air in the threads which forms an air bubble after a while. It does not mean that the semicircular canal is leaking. There may also be an “oily” surface on the plug upon delivery. Wipe it once and this problem is usually solved.

The cupula on each canal are labeled with ”P” (posterior), ”H” (horizontal) or ”A” (anterior) for more easy anatomical orientation and the model are also marked with “L” (left) and “R” (right)

The model also comes with a stand where the foot are in angle (45 degrees) so  you will always be able to get a correct anatomical basic position.
